I have recently bought a Silvercross from a local fleamarket - it has a brown hood and cream coachwork, with a brown fleur de lys motif (see my pic). It is in genearlly good condition. Can anyone out there identify the model and year please?

Hello, Your pram is a Wilson (SX) Fleur De Lys.  I have a green version, which was purchased in 1962 by the family I bought her off.  She is a beauty but just a gentle reminder, she is on her chassis back to front. The big wheels should be on the handle end.  I hope you don't mind me telling you this.  By the way, have a look at the Pram Perfect Pram site and you will see a few versions of this pram.  I personally haven't seen a brown one before.  Sian

Sounds like a `70`s pram. Brown was so `in` then.

That's a very good point.  I had a look at my (admittedly limited number of) Wilson/SX catalogues of the 1950s and early 60's and the colour brown wasn't mentioned.

I have no idea how long a  pram stayed in production with SX/Wilson.  Would buyers have been able to choose "old" bodies that remained in the factory and specify the colour?

It would make sense. - Sian
