CoachBuilt Prams

I've bought the materials in order to reline my Harris 1950s pram but now feel utterly overwhelmed by the task ahead of me.  I have tried my best to no avail and really need some hands on help asap.  Is there anyone at all living nearish to me with know all able and willing to help me? My first baby is due in two weeks and I would love to be able to use it before he outgrows it as I've had the pram awaiting restoration for about 13 years (I fished it out of the town dump when I was 15!) and it would be a real shame not to use it for my baby after all the time its waited.   I live on the Norfolk/Suffolk border near Beccles/Bungay but would travel to yours if not too far.  Many thanks,

Hi there I hope you find someone near to you to help as I found this a 2 person job although I know some people on here can do it alone.I also felt totally overwhelmed at re-lining my pram and had the horrors and tried to find someone near me- which I did.A lovely lady Jean who gave up a whole day for me and helped me no end.But neither she nor I had relined a pram before and we made a very good job of it so you CAN do it believe in yourself.Warning though its a fair few hours of standing and as you are so near to having your baby take care.Do you have any piping involved in your lining?I dont live anywhere near you so am sorry as I would help but if you look down the members and see if anyone lives near you and ask...thats what I did when I found Jean...It helps to get everything you need before you start padding lining pins the right tools etc.,as once you start you need to finish it if you are on a tight time limit.But please believe you can do it with some help.Hopefully someone on here will see this and contact you.;)

Hi Pam, where abouts do you live, im in chessington Surrey? im going to attempt to reline my marmet when the weathers a bit better and could really do with some advice! what sort of things do i need. ive got the pins but thats about it! wheres the best place to get the fabric and padding from?
