I am working on a lovely dolls pram probably late 1930's early 1940's. I have no idea what pram it is but it has a little transfer badge with a red and gold star on it and the name  Star and Simcett.  I wonder if anyone knows anything about this manufacturer or shop.  I have found information about a firm called Simcett who were in Whitechapel, London but no longer there, and information about a  Simcett dolls pushchair which is in Kingston Museum dated 1968, but so far nothing else.

I am so glad you finished the Feathalite pram Pam, It looks as though you have done so much more now.  I have got seven dolls prams lined up for  restoration now so I am going to be quite busy.  I wish there were more hours in the day.

Hi there Jean, did you get my email a while back? Yes the pram is all done now and is looking so good and pushing a treat the babies adore it but note i said babies-plural- the little one from ireland is now here and there was such competition for the pram whos baby was going to be in it that i have sadly decided to sell it to fund 2 smaller prams 1 each for the babies because as you know from my little cottage no room for 2 coachbuilts..i already have a  marmet droptoe and looking for another similar.planning to go to Farnham shortly and wonder if you will be there to show me your prams?
