Back in November i bought a lovely Osnath Princess from Sandra :) My plans were to have it finished & ready for use by the end of Febuary... not quite so confident thats going to happen now lol, but its getting there. Christmas had me a bit side tracked with other projects, so most of the work has been done during January.

Ive gone from this:

To this: Sandblasted chassis

body sanded down

The plan is to start priming tommorow, so watch this space, lol.

Amgell, my advice  is  to   go  to  Craftsmaster  paints  online  and     buy  from  them.   I  used  their  paint  on jy Millson  twin  that  I restored  last year  and   it is  great.    I   did  all of the  preparation   as  you would expect,  remove  old  paint,  rub  down  etc  then I  primed it  with Halford's  Hig  Build   Primer (in an  aerosol).    Then  I  rubbed  down again,  then  one  coat  of   Craftsmaster  undercoat,   rub  down  again  and  then   two   coats  of   Craftemaster   top  coat.   I  heartily  recommend   their  paint  it  is  great  and much  cheaper than  I   would have  had to pay  to  get  someone  to  spray   the  pram  for me.   You must  use  a really  good  brush  to   put  the paint  on,  I  used  Purdy  brushes  which  are  available  on Ebay,  not cheap  but they  do  the   job  beautifully.

Paint wise i've had a change of plan due to the fact that while pregnant i ran out of steam & now ive now got a 3 week old baby girl & very little spare time lol. My dad is going to spray paint it (he's sprayed cars in the past). Im goint to load it up into the car & take it round to him this morning.

Hopefully i will be able to post updated pics of finished paintwork very soon, then get on with the lining & hood etc, which i still need to buy fabric for lol (on a plus side though i have got the wadding, foam, appolstery pins & new Osnath logo, so im not compleatly unorganised lol)

Oh  copngratulations  on  your new   addition purplepants, I  was only  thinking of  you the  other  day  and  wondering  how  you  were getting on.   No   wonder  you ran out of steam   girl,  you had  enough on  your  plate  without   restoring  a  pram  on  top of  it  all.

Well heres where i am now, part of the lining is in

Still a long way to go though, im starting to get the sinking feeling it will never be done while my daughter is small enough to use it.

Dont worry about the pattern Sandra, i will be just fine without it, i have a marmet apron to repair first so i will have a good look at how thas made......

yes i did just say Marmet... my finger may of accidently slipped while i was browsing on ebay! so im off to liverpool tommorow to collect that. This pram thing is addictive lol.

The lining on the Osnath is so nearly done, just all the finnishing bits of binding to go on with upholstery pins then she can go back up on her chassis finally!

9 months since i last posted on here! I feel quite ashamed, I havent touched the pram all winter.

I had a minor disaster with it which set me back, so i sulked & dident look at it for a while, First problem: the upholstry pins wouldent go in & kept bending, then the lining got badly marked by ink from a carrier bag (i filled one of the charrity bags with old clothes to put out later in the week, stupidly i put it in the pram while i hoovered the floor & didnt move it. when i moved it a day later it had stuck itself to my lining & left behind all the ink, the lining was wrecked i tried every cleaner & it wasnt coming out)

Anyway sulk over i replaced the lining last week, changed my plans slightly im trimming with braid, so i need new pins & burgundy paint for them. The horses are out in the fields now so ive got plenty of spare time to get it finished!

In other news: We have a bigger car so ive got rid of my modern pram & I use the old marmet as my everyday pram, wouldent change it for the world now & Lizzy is much happier too :) & i bought Lizzy an old silver cross rose doll pram at the pram fair in Lytham last week, its way too big for her yet but i couldent help myself lol.
