I   thought  it might help  us  to open  another  couple  of  Forums  as  well as the  General Discussion one.  This one is  here  to  try  to  identify  your  pram   for you.  You  can  put  your  pram photographs on here   quite  easily.

When you are  writing  your message   there is a  header  with  different  symbols  on it at  the  top of  the message  window,  fonts,  line  spacing,  smilies   etc.  Click on the  4th  option  from the right,  it looks  vaguely like  a  photograph.

A new  window   shows  up 'Insert  an  Image' and if  you let  it  load  for  a  few  seconds,  on  the left  of that  window  the options  to  get   an image from your   computer  come  up  and   another  to   give  the  URL of  an image  or  to  upload  one  from  Photobucket.

I  clicked  to   get one  from my computer  and  it took me straight  to My Pictures  and  I   chose the image that  I  wanted  to put  on here  and   double  clicked it.  Hey Presto it  suddenly  appeared so it is very  easy.

So  put your pics  on here   so  that  people  who  might be  able  to   id  your  pram  for you  can  clearly  see it,  that's   all  there  is  to  it  really.   If  you have  a manufacturer  for  your pram  already,  ie  Marmet  or  Wilson, then  it  would be a good  idea  to put  that  in your message  too.

Hope you can make  use of  this new  Forum.

Oh Sam.,    I  wish  I  could help  you.   I have    very little  information on  Pedigree  prams  and  certainly nothing  as   early  as  your pram  is  I'm  afraid.   I'll  ask around  and  see if  anyone  can  help.

I don't have any old pedigree catalogues but from the others I do have this is a very 20 and 30's style of pram and if the design on the side is painted on referrred to as art deco. Marmet and Millsons had prams very similiar out in those eras.  Sorry I can't be anymore helpful.. At present time pedigree prams from 50's until 70's  when thecompany ended aren't selling for much--as for the antique ones  I've no idea. Enjoy  restoring her!!!!!   Regards Frances

Jannie   got  in  touch  with  me  and  asked if  I  could  identify  her pram  for  her,   here is   Jannie's photograph.

I  found   the  pram  in  a  copy  of  a  friends  catalogue  and it   appears  to  be  the   Silver Cross  Imperial  as  you can see  below.  I    don't  know  the  year  yet,  so if  anyone  can help  with  that  I'd be   very  pleased.   If  you can read  the  description,   this  body  was  available   on  two   chassis,  it  is  called  the Imperial   when it  is  on  the   detachable  chrome   chassis  and  the Celeste  when   on a    fixed  Sheffield  steel 'C' chassis

Apparently   my  friend  Kathy  told me  that  this pram  was only    out  for  one  year  and that   was  1974,    so  that is one  date that  we  can't  get wrong at  least!

Many thanks, Janet

Hi  Debbie   yes  there   were  a few   prams  around  with the lining that  you describe  and  the  stylon  fabric   that  you  describe was  used  a  fair  bit,  I   think  in  the   '70's  but  don't   quote me on that, I'd have  to look it  up.   LoL I'm  no  expert of  dates  etc, particularly of  the  more recent  prams.   I'm   into the   late  50's/60's  prams  and  so   those are the  ones I  pour  over. apart  from  which I can't remember my own name  half  the time,  so I have  to  look that  up too!   ;-)

Yes have  a look  to see if  you can  find a photograph  and  if  you can't  get it onto  the Forum  send it  to me  and I'll  put it on for  you,  then we can  all  see  what  you have  there.

Hello

Wondered if anyone could help identify my pram - its a Marmet probably from the 60s/early 70s.  I'm afraid I am having problems uploading pictures (I have added it as my profile pic) but only get the option to upload from URL.

The hood id moss green and base a duck egg green.

Any suggestions would be appreciated..

Thanks in advance

Nuala

Your pram  looks  to me  like  an  Imperial  but  I can only  see  the    thumbnail  pic of it  so  can't  be sure.    Has  it  got the Marmet   badge on it?

Hello. Can anyone tell me the model of my latest Silver cross? The previous owner is now 60! It is very simular to the Sheraton but the coach lines are "upside down" in comparison. Thanks :)

1958 Marmet Stafford De Luxe! i found her! i think?, i bought one of these a couple of weeks ago and have been searching and searching daily to try and find out what she is, im in the middle of attempting to make her look pretty again but its getting pretty costly as she is not in as good of condition as yours, but its going to be worth it when i can put my daughter evalyn in her new/ old pram xx
