Can you advise me where to buy tyres for a silver cross balmoral that are most like the originals, or better. Thanks

thank you so much for the information on these beautiful prams. I am looking forward to discovering what mine is so that I can get a sun canopy etc. for it. Vikki in BC Canada

Vikki, send me a photograph of your pram and I'll try to help. You don't need to have any particular type of canopy for certain makes or models of pram though, just buy what you like yourself. You only need to check the width of the canopy frame, so that it is wide enough for your pram.

Hello Joan, I am pleased that youare finding the site useful. If your pram was bought new in 1983 then I probably won't have any info on it, my newest catalogue is a Silver Cross one from 1977 you see. But send me a photograph and I can have a look for you. [email protected]

Lizzie thank you very much for leaving your message in the questbook, it is lovely for me to hear of your connection with the Market . How could I leave Marmet prams off my site? They were a very famous company producing very high end prams. I am nearing the end of restoring my Marmet Lady and Marmet Princess, but progress is very slow because my husband needs a lot of looking after these days. I still have another two Marmets which need restoration as well. I am also on the lookout for another Queen as well. So not finished with Marmet yet. I want a Lady, a Queen and a Princess all in the same colour! ☺

Hello Sandra,
I came across your site purely by accident but was fascinated to see your interest in restoring old prams. My great grandfather was the founder of Marmet prams, so I was very pleased to see them included amongst those that you have refurbished. I was fortunate to have a top of the range as a child myself ... being in the family ...
Take care

très beaux landaus ! j'adore

Oh Marie how I like to hear these stately prams described as 'landaus' that really is a prefectily elegant word used to describe them.

Merci beaucoup
