Well I took along 6 prams to the showground on Friday July 3rd 2009 and my friend Pam bought her Marmet Marquess. I had decided to take my prams on Friday and stay and keep them company in the marquee! Well I couldn' leave them on their own could I? What do you think of my 'des-res'?
My Desirable Residence for the night of 3rd July 2009. It was pretty comfy (with a big foam mattress for me) and even had a net door to keep out the crane flies, which flapped around between the inner and out tent all night long and drove me mad..
The prams being set up, I changed my mind a dozen times on Friday night, then we opened up another door in the wall of the marquee in the morning and so it was all change again!
The Marmet Lady on the left and the lovely little Osnath Braemar in the back corner. This 'little' Osnath boasts a folding handle and a really rather large body, it is only slightly shorter than a 40 inch pram body. The quilt which is on it is full sized.
Osnath Princess back right and Pam's Marmet Marquess front right.
The Marmet Lady 1958 - 1960
My Wilson Egremont bought in 1969 for my first child.
Osnath Princess at the back, Marmet Queen in the middle and the Marquess at the front.
We didn't have the best of weather it was very showery for most of the morning but improved slightly in the afternoon. Not before it had soaked Pam and I when we went for a walk with the Wedgwood and the Lady!
