CoachBuilt Prams

Perfect Elegance

Unfortunately I have been having problems yet  again, with unwanted and  offensive messages left in the Guestbook  as  many of you are  aware.

The only thing that I can suggest again is for people who would like to leave a genuine Guestbook entry to please forward your message to me and I can personally add it to the New Guestbook.   That  way  I  can make  absolutely  sure  that  idiots  cannot  interfere  with the  way that the  site  is  used any longer  and I can  stop  worrying for  a  while.

I  do  apologise  about  this  but  I am sure that  you  understand  that I have  had  to take  this  course  of action again.  I  can't  allow  such  things  to be  put  onto the  website.

I  do love to read your messages and I beg you  to  support me in this. Please,   do  not  allow  this person  to prevent  this site   being  used  as I intended it  to be used,  for  the sheer  pleasure  of looking  at  Coachbuilt Prams!

Please   post  your  messages in  the  New  Guestbook

Please  send  your  Guestbook  entries  to me  at:-

coachbuiltprams@yahoo.com

Here are the original  Messages which I have been able to copy and Paste onto this page.  Please keep up the good work and continue to post to the New Guestbook,  I am sorry that it has to be in this roundabout way for the moment at least.

I have just found your Pram site. I will be sending some details to you soon. I have a 1934 London Coach pram, completely re-conditioned, which sadly I need to sell. When I have some photos, I will be in touch. Am I on the right site? Regards Peg

I have recently been given a silver cross dolls pram, which i was told is circa 1950 but could be older....it looks a lot like the susan or the nina....it needs a lot of work doing on it and i could use all the help possible, especially when its comes to the hood, cover and insert. I saw what u have done with your prams and was amazed at the transformation, keep up the goodwork big grin

I loved your web site as I have a complete 'thing' about coach built prams. About a year or so ago I bought a second hand beautiful Silver Cross Durham Rose pram for my first grandchild, she is nearly 2 now and still uses it, she loves going out in it. I think my interest began when I had a lovely big Wilson or maybe Silver Cross pram when my children were babies. It was dark green with a rose cameo on the side. I can't remember whether it was a Balmoral or a kensington, but it was beautiful, I still regret selling it for about £7 in 1980!

I have what I thought was an unusual passion, coach built prams, my mum had one for all of us,I'm one of three, (the eldest) and can remember my younger siblings huge silvercross , black coachwork, with cream lining, mum kept it spotless, grandparents bought me a maroon silvercross dolls pram when I was 6 I thought it was the 'bees knees', I'd love to start a collection, but sadly don't have the room, we only have a small house, I'v enjoyed your website, have added it to my bookmarks and will certainly visit again very soon. I have thoroughly enjoyed browsing your website. We have recently been told that we are to become granparents for the first time and I would just love a big coach built pram for our grandchild. I too love a real pram - so now the search for one begins - thanks again for all the photo's and information.

Debbie Ramshaw:
I have stumbled across a Silver Cross Pram - Circa 1950's i think? Can you help me to identify the exact year and name of this pram as i am unable to find any pictures that are the same. It is chocolate brown in color but this might have been originally maroon and faded now. It has a porcelain heart shape with a painted rose on each side. The emblem at the end of the pram says Silver Cross and underneath this is a plaque with Made in England engraved on it.
Kind Regards
Debbie

Lillian's Sister:
As Lillians sister may I say my pram is not rotting away. I just cant bear it to go. I used it for all four of my children, so it has many happy memories. I remember one winter afternoon it began to snow heavily and I put my daughter Jennifer (eldest)6years old and her brother 4year old in the pram with Jennifer holding her baby brother of 9months on her knee. all of them under the hood. All home dry.Mother exhausted! I know it had the largest wheels of the SilverCross range.unfortunately I cant remember the name of the pram.It was rolls royce silver with a navy interior, hood and apron. I used to get a new apron and hood and sometimes the wheels renewed when required. the pram shop sent them to Silver Cross for this.
